‘Terrible deeds done in name of Christ’

President Barak Obama has given a stirring speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in the U.S.A., reminding all people of any faith that none are without their ‘sins’. In the face of religious identity’s misrepresentation, he says God compels us to continue in the upright truth of our faith, and calls us toward a peaceful future.

His words received a mixed response from local outlets with some saying it deflected from the guilt of “Muslim madmen”, but receives praise for highlighting the importance of authentic Christ-centred Christianity.
